Understanding Habitats in Pokopia

Designing a space for Pokémon in Pokopia involves strategically arranging flowers, plants, and various items to form over 200 distinct habitat types. Each biome in the game features unique variations of common setups. For instance, a basic "tall grass" configuration will look different and be treated as a separate habitat depending on the region it's built in.

Once a habitat is established, a Pokémon will eventually move in. However, each habitat can only host a single Pokémon at any given time. To attract a new visitor of the same habitat type, you must either relocate the current resident (such as moving them to a house) or build an entirely new setup of the same kind.

A neat feature is that you won't encounter duplicate Pokémon. If you've already befriended a Pidgey from a flower bed, the next time something spawns there, it's guaranteed to be a new species! This system makes filling out your collection significantly more rewarding. Keep in mind that rarity plays a huge role in spawn times. You can check the Habitat Dex to gauge rarity—common Pokémon might arrive instantly, while incredibly rare ones, like Tyranitar, might require you to leave the habitat untouched for several real-world days before they appear.

Location and environment also dictate who visits. Certain Pokémon are exclusively found in specific zones, like Palette Town. Likewise, the weather and time of day—such as rain, clear skies, daytime, or nighttime—are strict requirements for a handful of rare creatures to emerge.
